Pol or Vijayanagar
Soningji, a son of Sihoji of Marwar who settled in Gujarat received the estate of Sametra and on the petition of the Brahmin Prime Minster of Idar, he killed Samaliyo Sod in 1257, the Koli regent of Idar and occupied the area - Samaliyo demanded the Prime Minister's daughter Rupali and the Prime Minister fled to Soningji. Soningji's descendants ruled Idar for 400 years before they were ejected out by the Mughals in 1656 when Murad, a son of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan invaded Idar. The Rao of Idar, Jagannath retreated to Pol where he died a few days later. His son Punjo became an outlaw and by 1658, regained Idar back. His brother Arjundas was killed fighting the Rehvar Rajputs and Idar fell to Muslims again. Jagannath's brother Gopinath came to the rescue and ejected the Muslims out in 1713. Within five years, Gopinath faced another invasion and had to retreat from Idar. He died a few days later. His grand son Chando was made the ruler after him and Idar was taken back again. Chando was a reluctant ruler and after leaving Idar in the hands of Sardar Sinhji, the Thakur of Valasna, left to Pol, never to return back. There in Pol, he declared to his father-in-law that he is going to Kashi on a pilgrimage and retire there and left the place. On the day he left, he sent a message to his father-in-law to come to Sarsan where he is, for one final meal. There he killed his father-in-law and his family, and seized the throne of Pol. Though Pol is a small state of 140 square miles and limited revenue, Pol is treated as a second-class state because of it's lineage. In 1877, the kingdom was renamed Vijaynagar after the new capital city.
