Maler was granted as an estate of 58 villages to Sheik Sadruddin an Afghan migrant in 1454 by Bahlol Lodi when the light of Sadruddin's hut guided the king to safety when he was caught in a sand drift. He married his daughter to Sadruddin and granted him the estate. The line traces it's origins to the last Ghurid Sultan Izzudin through his son Sherwani.…
