Phul's eldest son Tilokha inherited his title but nothing much is known of himself or his son Sukhchain. Sukhchain partitioned his estate amongst his three sons and stayed with his second son Gajpat till his death. Gajpat is considered to be the first true ruler of Jind, a place named so after Goddess Jayanti Devi, whose temple is built by Jayanta, the son of Lord Indra. Sukchain, however had disputes with his brother Gurdatta - and depended on his sons. The dispute was over the ownership of the village Phul built by their eponymous ancestor. As early as 1743, on Gurdatta's instigation, the five year old Gajpat was captured by the Mughals along with his mother while Sukchain escaped when the Mughals attacked his territory for uncleared arrears. Gajpat's mother escaped with her son. Gajpat married a widow of his brother Alam Singh and inherited his estates.
