In 1459, Jodha transferred changed the capital of Marwar from Mandor to Jodhpur and the same year, his son Bika along with his uncle Kandhal led an army to enlarge the boundaries of Marwar in the North as like his brother Bida who subjugated the Mohils. Bika occupied the Sankhla Parmar area in Janglu which was abandoned because of frequent Baloch incursions. He allied with Sekha, the Bhati chief of Pugal gave his daughter in marriage to Bika. When Sekha objected to Bika's building a fort at Kuramdesar, Bika didn't heed his father-in-law and the Bhatis under Kalikaran, the son of Rawal Kehar of Jaisalmer attacked him - though Bika won the day, he had to abandon the fort and search for a new capital city. Pandu, the head of Godara Jats in dispute with the Johya(Janjua) Jats accepted him as their suzerain and gave him the power to levy dhuan (hearth tax) and tax on cultivation.
