Baraundha
Baraundha or Pathar Kachhar traces it’s origins to Gauri Chand, a Raghuvamsi Rajput who died in 1549 and in due course of time became a dependency of Panna. The kingdom’s original seat was Raisin and it’s territory shrunk considerably from it’s extensive estates in Banda. Just before the death of Sarabjit Singh in 1867, his son Ram Dayal Singh tried to sieze the throne but failed. In 1892, Thakur Prasad was fined 4000 for a border altercation with Kamta-Rajula and was banned from attending the Darbar in Baraundha. However, the punishment was withdrawn for his services during the 1897 famine.
